Dear Retiree,
The officers of #172’s Retiree Club met on January 12, 2012 to discuss coming events for the new year. The traditional February meetings will no longer be placed on the calendar due to chances of inclement weather.
The first meeting of 2012 is scheduled for Wednesday, April 11, 2012 at 11:30 AM. We will follow the same format for all meetings. The club will furnish the meat, drinks, rolls and table service. If possible, each family is asked to bring a side dish or dessert. If you can’t bring a dish, come anyway as there is always plenty of food for all! A brief business meeting and bingo will immediately follow the lunch.
The meeting dates for the balance of the year will be as follows: April 11th, June 13th, August 8th and October 10th. ** For your convenience we have enclosed stickers printed with meeting dates to affix to your calendar as a reminder. You will be notified by mail regarding the Christmas luncheon. TENTATIVE date at the time of this letter is December 8, 2012.
All of the many retirees and family members who attended the Local Union 172-sponsored Christmas luncheon greatly enjoyed the delicious food, hospitality and fellowship. We would sincerely like to thank the local’s officers who worked at the party.

Amounts of our current death benefits have not changed and are as follows:
